I write this post from my shiny new laptop, a relatively tiny machine at 12.1" and 4.1 lbs (especially compared to Tim's crazy 17", 10 lb creature). I'd been seriously contemplating getting a laptop for a few months now, and two weeks ago I finally decided on buying one from Tiger Direct.
They were friendly people, even after Wells Fargo had issues with my credit card. My laptop arrived on time and worked out of the box. Yay! Only problem with it is the left arrow key is on slightly skewed — I'll call them tomorrom and see what can be done about it, short of sending it back to them.
In other exciting news, Tim got his game programming internship! And he thought his interview didn't go well. :)
