NaNo Status Update: Floundering

My NaNo work has been floundering, because of a major paper that's due this Wednesday. After the 16th, I should be able to get back to my writing. My word count (currenty at a very sad 4166 words) will really need a big boost in the second half of the month.

Just remember what your job is these days. :-)

hugs. (remembering those term paper days and exceedingly glad that I don't have to do them anymore!)

From Chris' "No Plot? No Problem!" he mentions a technique to get a lot of wordage in one day:

Write for an X hour block in the morning, X hour block in the afternoon, and an X hour block in the evening. And voila! major wordage. (This works, trust me. It's how I got roughly 4000+ that one day.)

And if you write 3572 words every day from the 16th onward, you should make it! *rally*

Thanks for the encouragement. I do hope to get closer to 50k than my sad 4166, even though it basically means doing NaNo in half a month. Which, judging by last year, may not be so doable for me. :(
